If you attended the Johns Creek Public Safety 5K this year, you may have seen our team out at the event — sharing what we do, answering questions, and connecting with the local community. While this 5K was smaller than others we’ve attended, it was one of the most meaningful.

Hosted to raise money for the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation, this event brought together families, first responders, and community members for a fun and purposeful morning. And we were proud to be part of it.

Supporting the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation

Unlike many race-day events, this 5K had a clear mission — to support the firefighters and police officers who serve Johns Creek every day. The Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation offers financial assistance, wellness programs, and essential support services to these everyday heroes.

To help contribute, we offered a special promotion at our booth: for every dollar donated to the Foundation, we would double it in care. That meant if someone donated $20, they received $40 off their chiropractic visit. It was a great way to support a cause we believe in while helping more people experience the benefits of chiropractic care.

What We Brought to the Event

Even without our usual prize wheel, we brought a hands-on, educational setup that allowed us to engage with attendees in a meaningful way:

  • Posture scans to give people a quick, visual look at their spinal alignment
  • Chiropractic education materials focused on how chiropractic care supports overall health, mobility, and stress recovery
  • Information on spinal decompression and custom Pillowise pillows, for those interested in specialized support

While some attendees were already familiar with chiropractic, others were learning about it for the first time. We had great conversations about posture, desk jobs, sports injuries, and daily movement — and helped several people begin thinking about their health in a new way.

One Connection Can Make a Difference

One of the most memorable conversations of the morning was with a local fireman. He stopped by our booth with questions about how chiropractic care could help manage the physical strain of his job. That conversation led to a visit — and he’s now an active patient in our office. He’s even referred a friend who will be coming in this week.

That’s the power of showing up: one real conversation can lead to real healing.

Why We Show Up for Events Like This

As a chiropractor, showing up at community events matters — not just for visibility, but for connection. We don’t want people to see chiropractic as a mystery or a last resort. We want them to see it as a proactive, natural, and effective way to feel better and move better.

Public safety workers in particular face demanding physical and mental stress every day. Chiropractic care can help:

  • Reduce wear and tear from physically intense work
  • Improve posture and recovery
  • Support better sleep and nervous system regulation
  • Minimize downtime from injuries

Events like this allow us to meet these professionals face-to-face and offer support that goes beyond the clinic.

We’re Grateful to Be Part of the Community

We’re thankful to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Johns Creek Public Safety 5K — and especially grateful to those who support our city’s first responders. Whether you made a donation, asked a question, or simply smiled as you walked past, we appreciated the opportunity to be part of something meaningful.

We’ll be back at future events throughout Johns Creek, continuing to serve, connect, and support the community however we can.
